The shop is in a charming, a whitewashed cottage with a pitched roof and exposed beams. It exudes warmth and one often feels as if you are visiting the home of a friend. Wish we had the space for an oven to bake some fresh goodies for everyone.
Pame Schmider is the owner of Bauble on Balboa. After many years of philanthropy she decided to open a bricks and mortar store (located on Balboa Island, an hour south of LA). She had a home based business for 6ish years. She has a creative eye and loves to see customers really excited about what they are purchasing.
Mary is the manager at the store. Ask her about the items for there is always a story behind them. Friendly, fun, classic and a bit of whimsy is what you find at Bauble on Balboa. Many items in the store Pame has her vendors create especially for Bauble. Pame's creative flair lends itself to a lot of the merchandise reflecting that. She loves to travel and wherever in the world she is, she is always on the look out to find that unique item to bring back to Bauble.”When I travel, I want to bring something back an accessory or gift that has a wow factor (without breaking the bank)”, says Pame. She works hard to insure the shop is not pedestrian souvenirs and items.
Bauble on Balboa is much like a restaurant with a menu that changes with each season. Our merchandise is ever changing and we have new merchandise arriving all year round. Celebrating life with a joie de vivre is what Bauble on Balboa is about.
