Dr. Ilhyun “Ted” Kim, known to his patients as “Dr. Ted”, has been providing children in Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Laguna Beach, Costa Mesa and Irvine , with exceptional pediatric dental care for over 10 years. Highly educated, Dr. Ted received his Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree, with a focus on dental and oral surgery, from Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York, New York. He completed a one-year residency in cosmetic dentistry at Columbia University as well. Always an avid advocate of children's health, Dr. Ted furthered his training for two years in pediatric dentistry at Columbia University.
Dr. Ted feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of pediatric dentistry. Thus, he maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He is currently an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society.
